Pachmarhi

Pachmarhi is a serene hill station located in the Satpura range of Madhya Pradesh, known as the "Queen of Satpuras". It is a verdant and scenic town with cascading waterfalls, rich biodiversity, and ancient caves, making it a popular tourist destination.

 

Geography and landscape

Satpura Range: Pachmarhi is part of the Mahadeo Hills in the Satpura range, with its highest point being Dhoopgarh at 1,352 meters (4,436 ft).

Waterfalls: Several stunning waterfalls are located here, including Bee Falls and Duchess Falls.

Caves: The area is known for ancient rock caves, with the Pandav Caves being a significant historical site.

Biodiversity: Pachmarhi is a biodiversity hotspot with a wildlife sanctuary that was recently renamed in honor of tribal icon Raja Bhabhut Singh.

Jatashankar Temple: A sacred cave temple nestled among the hills.

Dhoopgarh: The highest point in Madhya Pradesh, offering breathtaking sunset views.

Reechgarh: A natural rock formation that resembles a fortress.

Bhopal 

Bhopal is the capital of Madhya Pradesh and is famously known as the "City of Lakes" due to its numerous natural and artificial lakes. The city is a fascinating blend of modern infrastructure and a rich historical and cultural past, with the influence of Mughal cuisine and architecture still prevalent.

 

City of Lakes: The city is defined by its two main lakes, the Upper Lake (Bhojtal) and the Lower Lake.

Greenest City: Bhopal is considered one of India's greenest cities, with plenty of natural landscapes.

Central Location: It is located centrally within India, which is why it is also known as the "Heart of India". 


Places of interest

Bhimbetka Rock Shelters: Located nearby, these ancient rock formations and prehistoric cave paintings are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Architectural Heritage: Modern Bhopal was planned in 1724 by Dost Mohammad, but the city's roots trace back to Raja Bhoj in the 11th century.

Cuisine: The local culinary scene is heavily influenced by Mughlai cuisine, with Bhopali Gosht Korma being a famous dish.

Culture: The city has a polite and helpful populace, and a distinct local culture that includes a tradition of eating paan (betel leaf).

Detailed Itinerary: 

Day 01: Bhopal – Arrival + City Tour

Morning Arrival at Bhopal Airport / Railway Station. On Arrival our local representative will Pack-up and assist you later followed by Transfer to Hotel thereafter Sightseeing tour of Bhopal visiting Upper Lake also known as “the Bhopal Beauty” is the largest artificial lake in Asia and where you can enjoy bracing on speedboats or go cruising. If time permits you can also visit places like the Laxmi Narayan Temple, Rastriya Manav Sangrhalay, Bharat Bhavan, Taj-ul-Masjid, and Vidhana SabhaOvernight Stay at Hotel in Bhopal. 

Day 02: Bhopal – Pachmarhi (190 Kms / 4 -5 Hrs)

After breakfast visit Lake View and Van Vihar National Park later continue drive to Pachmarhi. On Arrival check-in at Hotel. Day free for leisure at Hotel. Overnight Stay at Hotel in Pachmarhi.

Day 03: Pachmarhi Sightseeing Tour

After Breakfast sightseeing Tour of Pachmarhi visit to Pandav Cave, Museum, Bee Fall, Bhavya Drishya, Asan Drishya, Eco Point, Reechhgarh, and Dhoopgarh. Overnight Stay at hotel in Pachmarhi.

Day 04: Pachmarhi Sightseeing Tour

After Breakfast Sightseeing Tour of Pachmarhi visit Handi Kho, Priyadarshini, Mahadev, Gupt Mahadev, Jatashankar, Green Valley, Rajendra Giri, and Lake. Overnight Stay at Hotel in Pachmarhi.

Day 05: Pachmarhi – Bhopal – Departure

After Breakfast check-out from hotel and departure Transfer to Bhopal Airport / Railway Station for onwards Journey.
